Less than ten years till...

This is the second one of these they have done. And my title is serious, we're likely to have this sort of tech around in less than a decade. :)

I'm seriously unconvinced by the "ubiquitous touchscreen" predictions. I remember seeing them on Tomorrow's World in the 1980s, along with the remote-control curtains and automatic milk-ordering fridge. Besides, a touchscreen used by ordinary people all day will be filthy with fingerprints inside a week. =:P

Of course, also, that would be what it looks like when everything works properly, exactly the way it should. Everything almost never works properly.
